A fun free festival featuring performers and workshops all aimed at promoting wellbeing is coming to Medway this summer.
The Rochester-based Paramount Foundation whose mission it is to improve the lives and wellbeing of vulnerable people by investing in their communities, will be holding the Sticks and Stones festival this month.
The one-day event, which will be on Saturday, August 28 at the amphitheatre at Fort Amherst in Chatham, will be a day of live performances and workshops, as well as stalls, and plenty of food and beverages.
The festival, which will run from 11am to 6pm, provides access to a vast amount of Medway services for health and wellbeing all in one place.
The Paramount Foundation is the charitable arm of leading temporary housing provider Paramount Independent Property Services, and was set up by the firm which prides itself on the quality of its support and accommodation for homeless people.
The foundation exists to help improve the lives of vulnerable or disadvantaged people in our communities through practical help, support and intervention.
It works with groups and individuals to provide them with the opportunities and skills to become stronger and more self reliant, as well as arranging events to raise funds, including the Sticks and Stones Festival.
Some of its projects in the community include the Local Heroes project, which is a group of volunteers who heed the call of Medway businesses and community groups to fix, maintain and building work on Thursdays and Fridays, from fixing fences to landscaping.
The Paramount Foundation also run free boxing sessions; free fitness sessions and community IT support.
