Construction of a care home is set to get underway after developers agreed to sell the site to a healthcare company once it is built.
Kitewood has agreed that Octopus Healthcare will buy the 80-bed Bourchier Close nursing home in Sevenoaks once construction is completed in December next year.
The developer got planning permission for the two-acre scheme in June last year and it hopes its latest deal is “the first of many deals between the two companies”.
Octopus will then lease the home to Care UK, a national operator.
Kitewood chief executive Philip Van Reyk said: “We are gradually establishing ourselves as a provider of premium care homes and assisted living accommodation.
“We are also looking at ways in which to co-invest and retain a longer term interest in our schemes. We are delighted to be working with Octopus Healthcare, one of the leading UK healthcare property investors.”
Octopus Healthcare investment director Freddie Richards added: “Kitewood are developing a track record for unlocking the potential of exceptional sites such as Sevenoaks.”
