A popular garden centre in Thanet has been put on the market.
The Secret Garden Centre on the Quex Park Estate in Birchington has been in the same hands for 20 years. But it's current owners have decided to retire.
It is now being marketed by property advisors Christie & Co for £300,000.
The two-acre site sits within a Victorian walled garden with the estate of the tourist attraction.
It includes a shop building, a number of glasshouses and comes with remaining stock.
The current business owners explained: "After over 20 enjoyable years here at the Secret Garden Centre it is now time for us to retire. The business is stronger than ever and the estate continues to improve every year, we hope to find new owners who can build on what we have created and to continue to serve our wonderful customers.”
Tom Glanvill, associate director of garden centres and retail at Christie & Co, added: “This business represents a fantastic opportunity with low overheads, strong margins and a prominent position on this fabulous country estate. The centre is located on the former kitchen garden and has a charm that is hard to find within the increasingly homogenised garden centre market.”
The existing lease will be assigned to the new purchaser. The current rent is £6,000 a year.
