Kent and Medway Business Games 2016 to take place in summer

Companies across the county are preparing to take on the competition with a smile on their face as part of the second annual Kent & Medway Business Games.

Teams will play modified versions of sports like ultimate frisbee, pickleball, human table football, kwik cricket, sitting volleyball and badminton.

Firms are being invited to take part in the event this summer, run by Kent Sport, National Grid-Grain LNG and Wellbeing People.

Kent Sport director Kevin Day said: “Our first Business Games took place last year and turned out to be a huge success.

“The event proved to be a great platform to promote sport and physical activity to a wide range of businesses.”

National Grid-GrainLNG wellbeing champion Stuart Clack said: “We entered a team into the 2015 Games and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

“As a large local employer, we’re always keen to support local community programmes and the Business Games is an event which anyone can take part in.”

The Business Games take place on Friday, July 8, at Strood Sports Centre.
