A green energy firm which plans to challenge the Big 6 power companies has moved into a business park in east Kent.
Enigys, trading as Goto Energy, has moved into the Discovery Park in Sandwich.
It will serve domestic and microbusiness customers in the UK with gas and electricity.
And it's not short of ambition, keen to challenge the Big 6 which includes the likes of British Gas and EDF Energy.
The products offered to consumers have a green, environmental, socially conscious focus. This includes electricity that is generated from 100% renewable sources, primarily wind, and natural gas, which is 100% carbon offset.
The company obtained its energy supply licenses in July and will begin full-scale commercial operations in March or April 2019.
It plans to scale up and expand its workforce quickly, with plans in place for 20 permanent job roles within the next 12 months.
Nikki Goode, director of Enigys: “We look forward to progressing our business plan to deliver affordable, green energy products to people in local communities. Discovery Park offers our business a great base from which we hope to work with other innovative businesses to create more jobs for Kent.”
They are among a number of new arrivals on the site which includes investment advisor, Apex Incorporated, and mechanical ventilation specialists Built Environment Technology.
