MEMBERS of The Wealden Business Group have been raising money throughout the year for charity. And at their Christmas breakfast meeting they handed over a £250 cheque to Major Graham Willetts from The Salvation Army.
"We meet regularly on Wednesday mornings throughout the year and if someone hasn't made a referral that week, he or she is invited to put some cash in the pot for charity," said group chairman, Roy Morgan.
Group members come from across the Weald and they meet to share business. The group includes representatives from all kinds of businesses, from Tenterden's Barry Jones the Florist to surveyors Paul Rowe Associates in Rolvenden. Because they know each other they can recommend each other for work.
The group is busy setting up its website which will launch in January.
