A TONBRIDGE gym looks set to get its second new owner in less than a year.
Just seven months after the former Hunters Gym, in Avebury Avenue, joined the Peak Fitness chain, the group has gone into receivership.
Its 15 health clubs and gyms in prime locations across the UK, including Tonbridge, are now seeking buyers.
But although four clubs have closed since receivers moved in, a spokesperson at Peak Fitness in Tonbridge said it was still "business as usual" there.
London firm Edward Symmons has been appointed to sell the group's business and assets.
It is acting for the joint administrators and administrative receivers, Tony Supperstone and Shay Bannon, of BDO Stoy Hayward, in the sale.
Corporate and personal membership extends to some 18,000 members across all 15 clubs. Turnover for the eight months to November 30 last year was some £3.59 million.
Spokesman Tom Morgan said: "We are receiving a very strong level of interest in these clubs, a number of which offer tremendous potential".
