Health authority completes board

FOUR non-executive directors have been appointed to the new Kent and Medway Health Authority.

They are Nigel Branson, Vivienne Chapman, George Jenkins and Alan Parker.

For the last year, Mr Branson, from Sevenoaks, has been a technology college governor.

Ms Chapman, a former nurse from Canterbury, held a similar non-executive role with the former East Kent Health Authority and has a pharmacy business.

Mr Jenkins, also from Canterbury, has held directorships in engineering and international transport and is a member of the Health Finance Management Association.

Mr Parker, from Maidstone, is a former senior police officer and has both worked and lived in all areas of Kent, including Medway.

Health authority chairman Kate Lampard said: "I'm delighted to welcome all four of these new appointments, which complete the health authority board.

"Between us we have a wide range of experience and represent a good cross-section of the Kent and Medway communities."
