The sun’s out and we are all thinking holidays – especially tours specialist Cosmos, where more than 90% of the workforce live in Kent.
Bromley-based Cosmos is ramping up its holiday offerings and taking a new direction under the leadership of CEO Giles Hawke, who joined the company last year.
He has already overseen a rebrand – the name Cosmos replaces Cosmos Tours & Cruises – and there is a new range of worldwide holiday tours and adventures.
Mr Hawke, who joined Cosmos from MSC Cruises, said: “We used the name change as a platform for growth, development and a new approach to providing our customers with the ultimate holiday experience.
“The company has been in existence since 1961 and is still family owned, but there was an outmoded view of Cosmos and we wanted to showcase the holiday adventures we can offer, as well as great ways of getting the best value.
“We now offer a worldwide choice of active experiences as demand grows for more authentic travel experiences.
'We also have a clear Price Promise which features live flight pricing and no hidden costs, plus we have a new approach to holiday cancellation and changes'
“The rebrand applies to brochures, digital marketing, and social media to a new website, customer collateral and e-documentation.”
Flexibility is also key to Mr Hawke’s rebrand strategy.
He said: “By providing total flexibility, our customers can search for different styled tours, ocean and river cruises, rail journeys and beach This is a key development for us and in the escorted touring market, it puts us ahead of many other competitors.
“As our customers become more adventurous and want to see more of the world, we’re delighted to showcase our widest choice of holidays. We receive a 96% customer satisfaction rating.
“We also have a clear Price Promise which features live flight pricing and no hidden costs, plus we have a new approach to holiday cancellation and changes.
“If customers need to cancel their holiday, before balance due date, they have the choice to re-book within 12 months without losing their deposit.
"Another new option is for customers to be able to change holiday plans, again before balance due date, without incurring an administration fee.”
