A popular holiday park on the Kent coast has been awarded a prestigious award.

The Haven Kent Coast holiday park in Allhallows, on the Hoo Peninsula, has received the AA Caravan and Camping Quality Standard’s highest Five Star Gold rating.

The park, which has recently undergone a multi-million pound upgrade, has even had celebrity endorsement, with TV host Stacey Solomon and partner Joe Swash recently enjoying their stay at the site, declaring “caravan park holidays are the best”.

Five stars are, according to the AA, presented to those campsite with “an extremely high standard, set in attractive surroundings with mature landscaping” and where “facilities, security and customer care are exceptional”.

Overall it scored a 93% rating - 90% securing it the top rank.

The park was previously known as the Haven Allhallows Leisure Park before its upgrade.

John Coltman, general manager of Kent Coast, which is operated by holiday giant Haven, said: “The team’s hard work and commitment is a testament to being awarded the Five Star Gold AA rating and we are delighted with the result.”
