A major budget hotel chain is launching a recruitment drive in the county - targeting parents looking to return to work.
Travelodge, which has been pushing ahead with a major expansion drive across Kent, including a recent deal to open a hotel in Rochester, says it has 25 vacancies currently available.
And it is hoping jobs that fitting around the school run will encourage many mums and dads to get back into employment.
Jobs include roles in reception, restaurants and housekeeping.
It forms part of a nationwide drive which is going hand in hand with its expansion plans which it hopes will create 3,000 jobs over the next five years.
Peter Gowers, Travelodge, chief executive said: “Travelodge is growing quickly and we want to unlock the potential of Britain’s mums and dads as they return to work. Hospitality can offer a great career for parents, with jobs close to home, hours that can match the school run, benefits that suit families and a path into management.
“We are preparing in earnest for post-Brexit Britain. With thousands of new jobs to fill, we need more new colleagues than ever.
"We’ve based our new programme on making it easier than ever for mums and dads to work around the school run and climb the career ladder whilst raising their family.”
