Housebuilder Fernham Homes has appointed a new development director to spearhead its growth plans.
Chris Loughead has joined the Tonbridge firm after most recently being development director of the eastern region for Crest Nicholson.
He has nine years experience in the sector, having worked on schemes across Kent including sites in Harrietsham, Boughton Monchelsea, Southborough and Faversham.
He has previously served as a senior land buyer at Barratt Developments where he was responsible for the identification and project management for all land acquisitions and planning applications in Kent.
Mr Loughead said: "I’m really excited to be working in my home patch of Kent again. Having worked for PLC housebuilders for the last seven years, the attraction of growing an SME business like Fernham into a recognisable and identifiable brand that is known for building high quality sustainable family homes, was strong.
"I am looking forward to helping Fernham deliver its five-year aspiration of building between 150-200 new homes each year, with schemes ranging from nine to 200 units.”
