An education charity is looking for businesses to invite students into their offices, factories and warehouses in a bid to boost the confidence of the next generation.

Yes Futures is seeking companies in Kent which can host a World of Work day as part of a national initiative on Friday, January 19.

The sessions aim to give students perspective and direction as they think about their future careers.

Companies which decided to be partners for the scheme invite groups of 10 to 30 young people, accompanied by Yes Futures coaching staff, to visit the workplace for a three to four-hour session.

In return, firms receive exposure in the charity’s promotional materal and have the chance to meet enthusiastic potential employees.

The charity said 100% of previous partners felt partnering was making a difference and 100% said they would work with the scheme again.

Also, 88% felt that working with Yes Futures was beneficial to their organisation.

Programme manager Faye Rounding said: “Our opportunities are a fantastic way of benefitting your employees’ professional development as well as supporting our students to make informed decisions about their future career path and understand the working environment through a first-hand experience.”
