Jobpoints are a one-touch guide

JOBSEEKERS can view more than 400,000 vacancies at the touch of a button thanks to technology installed at Bluewater.

A new Jobpoints computer was unveiled at the Learning Shop by Leigh Lewis, chief executive of Jobcentre Plus - part of the Department for Work and Pensions.

The system, which allow users to search for local, national and international vacancies on an Employment Service database, replaces display boards of cards containing job descriptions.

Mr Lewis said: "Jobpoints are helping us get more people into the right jobs more quickly. Evaluations have shown that 92 per cent of jobseekers find them easy to use and over 50 per cent have found themselves applying for more jobs."
