A motor dealership is to create more than 50 jobs after unveiling major expansion plans in the county.
Perrys Motor Sales Ltd, which has over 50 car dealerships nationwide, will open two new showrooms and employ 55 new staff.
It will plough £2million into a new Ford commercial and car dealership alongside its Vauxhall business in Whitfield, Dover.
Due to open in September 2019, it will employ more than 35 staff and bring the number of Ford sites in the group to eight.
In addition, it has unveiled a new Mazda showroom in Canterbury - making it the largest independent Mazda retail group in Europe.
This new showroom on Island Road, sits alongside the current Vauxhall dealership.
Denise Millard, company director at Perrys, said: “Despite tough market conditions for the motor industry, Perrys has continued to perform well in this region.
"Until now we have focused mainly on Vauxhall in Kent, with dealerships in Canterbury, Broadstairs, Dover and Sittingbourne. The two new additions of Mazda and Ford show our long term commitment to customers in this area.”
