A LONDON property magazine publisher has brought 15 jobs to the county and the promise of more after finding its new home sweet home in Kent.
New Concept Group, previously based in Bexleyheath, is now operating at the flagship business park in Kings Hill, West Malling.
Fifteen editorial, advertising and design staff have moved to the new headquarters in Churchill Square. The firm aims to add a further 10 people to the workforce.
The group, which was founded 12 years ago, publishes consumer magazines and guides such as Your New Home, New Homes Guide, Overseas Home Guide and The Really Useful Director aimed at homeowners in London.
Its business titles include The Export Guide, International Fire Buyers Guide, and International Security Buyers Guide.
The company worked closely with inward investment agency Locate in Kent, also based in Kings Hill, during its search for a new base. The firm said it chose Kent for its exciting business prospects, flexible employment market and availability of well-priced commercial property.
David Rossiter, New Concept’s managing director, said: "There’s a lot going on in Kent, especially in Thames Gateway and around Ashford, and we believe here is the right and most effective place to grow our business.
"Since our move from London, we have already seen a growth in our business and have recruited three new members of staff, including one from Maidstone and two from Kings Hill."
Paul Wookey, chief executive of Locate in Kent, added: "Increasingly we are welcoming companies like New Concept, that have taken advantage of the huge cost savings available through moving an established business from London to Kent, enabling them to grow and to attract and retain the right staff."
New Concept clients include Bovis, Countryside Properties, Gleeson Homes and Persimmon Homes. Its contract publishing division produces titles on behalf of The London Evening Standard, NSPCC, Parcelforce Worldwide, the Post Office and Twentieth Century Fox.
