A major car dealership has opened a new showroom following a £2million investment, creating dozens of new jobs.
Perrys Motor Sales Ltd, which has over 50 car dealerships nationwide, opened the doors to its newest Ford Car and Transit Commercial dealership in Dover.
It sits alongside the Perrys Vauxhall business in Whitfield.
In addition to new and used cars and vans, it will also house a team of technicians for parts, MOTs and servicing.
The showroom has created more than 35 new jobs and forms part of a wider expansion plan to grow its presence in east Kent, following the launch of its Mazda dealership in Canterbury earlier this year.
Denise Millard, executive director at Perrys Motor Sales, said: “Our showroom in Dover becomes our eighth Ford dealership in the group, and we hope that customers really enjoy what it has to offer.
"Our continued investment in east Kent really underlines our long-term commitment to customers living in the area.”
Perrys also has Vauxhall dealerships in Broadstairs, Dover and Sittingbourne, employing more than 175 people across the east of the county.
Founded in 1908, today Perrys has a group turnover in excess of £700m. It sells over 50,000 cars and commercial vehicles annually.
