Jobs firm holds a birthday lunch

A MAIDSTONE company will celebrate its 35th anniversary in April.

Earl Street Employment Consultants will host a lunchtime party for dignitaries including Ann Widdecombe, Conservative MP for Maidstone and the Weald, Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Paulina Stockell, and Edwin Boorman, chairman of the Kent Messenger Group, on Thursday, April 25.

The event at Laurel House, Earl Street, will also be attended by lithograph artist Graham Clarke, who lives in Boughton Monchelsea.

The consultancy, which covers most professions apart from medical ones, has moved offices twice since it began in Earl Street in 1967.

The anniversary celebrations will raise money for Kent Air Ambulance and the Heart of Kent Hospice through a raffle and possibly the auction of a balloon ride.
