ASHFORD-born John Worger has joined the team of managers at the Tonbridge office of Lloyds TSB Commercial.

John, 45, joined TSB in 1974, and spent the past last 14 years in the commercial sector, most recently in Hastings and before that in Bexleyheath. In his new role, John will be responsible for developing new business in the Dartford, Gravesend and Medway areas.

"I know a number of people here already so I'll be looking up old contacts as well as making new ones," he said. "As the first manager solely responsible for this area I aim to become very active in the local business community."

John, who achieved an MBA in 1999, lives in Challock with his wife and two young children and lets off steam by playing tennis at the local club.
