As well as providing weekly waste collections, Medway Norse helps keep Medway clean and tidy by cleaning the streets, maintaining the area’s public parks and greenspaces and by cleaning and maintaining all the council’s buildings.

Director of Medway Norse Andy Mann said: “Most people will know us as the firm that collects their household waste but there are many other services we provide locally that help to keep Medway a clean and pleasant place for residents, businesses and visitors alike.

“The importance of keeping our local environment attractive as a place to live and to work, and as a destination to visit, cannot be overstated. At Medway Norse, we have built this commitment into our corporate DNA. We have more than 800 staff who all take great pride in delivering high-quality services every day.”

Medway Norse works with a number of local commercial, social and charitable organisations to provide essential services including running Medway’s three household waste and recycling centres (HWRCs).

Andy added: “Medway is a leading tourist destination in the south-east, with a rich cultural heritage and many historic attractions which draw tourists to the area throughout the year. It is very important that Medway is kept clean and tidy, and Medway Norse is determined to play its part in achieving this.”

The company also delivers a wide range of services to schools, businesses and other customers in Kent. Medway Norse has a large fleet of minibuses which are used for school transport, including for pupils with special educational needs or disabilities. The business also cleans schools and commercial premises as well as grounds maintenance and building repairs.

Medway Norse’s commitment to improving Medway also includes a programme which is looking to replace its current vehicle fleet with electric vehicles to support Medway’s climate change aspirations, protect the environment and reduce pollution.
