KEiBA 2017: Hail the environmental 'culture' by entering awards

Green companies can show they run a business that “does things right” at the largest business awards in Kent.

Firms can show off their ethical credentials at KEiBA 2017 said Carolyn McKenzie, Kent County Council’s head of sustainable business and communities for Low Carbon Kent.

The network has sponsored the commitment to the environment award for seven years to “ensure that consideration of the environment is recognised as beneficial to business performance”.

KEiBA 2017 – short for the Kent Excellence in Business Awards – is open for entries until Friday, February 24, with the awards presented at a gala evening in June.

Ms McKenzie said: “Customers are becoming more and more aware of how businesses interact positively with both the environment and the community.

“Taking time to make a meaningful contribution to improving and protecting the environment will pay dividends for customer loyalty over and over again.

“This award is an excellent way to help cement your reputation as a business that does things right and has a true commitment to the environment.

“While there can only be one winner, everyone going through the process may find ideas, inspiration and further motivation from the judges’ close examination of their culture and processes.”
