Is your business struggling to keep pace with constant cultural shifts in the workplace?
This year’s upcoming Business Vision LIVE event on Wednesday, May 15 may really help you get some new ideas and fresh inspiration.
The shifting shape of the workplace will form a key theme at the Kent Event Centre, with a wide range of workshops and interactive discussions focusing on some of the key challenges for many employers.
Today’s workplace continues to rapidly evolve with new technologies, new working patterns and new expectations of employers, especially from younger generations making their steps into a business.

And while those changes can bring a host of opportunities for thousands of businesses, the same cannot be said of others - particularly those companies that try to resist the inevitable evolution of modern-day technology.
“This major theme within next month’s event is really interesting and it doesn’t just apply to businesses looking to adopt new remote working technologies tools or flexible working practices,” said event manager Emily Taylor.
“Previously known as Kent Vision LIVE, Business Vision LIVE is in its 15th year and continues to be the largest gathering of business professionals in the South East.
“The event is aimed at business owners, senior managers, departmental heads and other executives working in organisations from the commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors in B2B and B2C organisations.”
And there will also be no shortage of millennial expert at the May event, including TEDx Speaker Adam Henderson who will be in the main keynote theatre.
Adam will look into the work motivations of individuals born between the early 1980s and the late 1990s, many of whom will make up the largest working demographic across the plant with some already in positions of influence across the globe.
“He will also be highlighting the growing number of disconnects between how millennials want to work and how many companies currently work,” continued Taylor.
“This can often lead to high employee turnover and low productivity.
“His advice could therefore be crucial with regards to how to adapt to these changing needs and how to create a clear competitive edge.”

Medical broadcaster and author Dr Hilary Jones will also be in attendance to weigh in on the importance of mental health in the workplace.
The television presenter will be examining the reasons behind so many organisations still failing to spot the early warning signs and the need to proactively promote a more positive approach to what is still described as a taboo in some circles.
In the free workshop stream, Stephen Askew from the FSB will address emerging skills shortages and some of the practical strategies people can use to find, develop and retain the skilled staff you will need for the future.
Attendees will also be able to join one or more workplace-themed roundtables to share ideas and discuss their own experiences in areas such as reinventing traditional working patterns, maximising productivity, employment law and becoming an ‘attractive’ employer through employer branding.
