A Kent property search business has been named top employer in the south east.
MDA SearchFlow, of Kings Hill, West Malling, won the City & Guilds Employer of the Year Award in the South East regional heat of the 2008 National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange to recognise excellence, innovation and success.
The award was presented at a gala dinner at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
The firm beat off stiff competition to land a possible place in the national finals held in November.
MDA SearchFlow was founded 25 years ago and provides a one-stop shop for sending and receiving property searches and Home Information Pack (HIP) contents. Its main clients are legal professionals, estate agents, and HIP providers who conduct property and other financial transactions.
Judges were impressed by the firm’s ability to prosper during an economic downturn by showing confidence in its team. It had created strong loyalty among its staff which had resulted in continuous growth and staff retention.
Nigel Moore, head of group marketing at City & Guilds said: "I am delighted that MDA SearchFlow has managed to beat off strong competition to be crowned a worthy South East regional winner of The City & Guilds Employer of the Year Award.
"A great range of businesses in the region entered and we were very impressed with the quality of entries and their commitment to their employees.
"The finalists are all outstanding examples of the most dynamic companies in the South East and we wish them all the best of luck in their development. Congratulations once again to all at MDA SearchFlow."
The awards were sponsored by Orange. Gary Coombes, its director of small and medium enterprise sales, said:
"Congratulations to MDA SearchFlow on their fantastic achievement. Winning a National Business Award is no mean feat, and they have clearly proven they are at the top of their game.
"All of this year’s winners have shown tremendous ability to push the boundaries and succeed, even in such a tough business climate. We are proud and delighted to be associated with the cream of British business talent."
