Lloyds Banking Group has put many of its branches in Kent under threat after announcing plans to close 200 locations and cut 3,000 jobs.
While it has not revealed specific locations, the high street lender said it is looking to close branches with the lowest footfall and those within close proximity of other outlets.
It has already shut several sites this year, including Loose Road in Maidstone, Cheriton High Street in Folkestone and the Square in Birchington-on-Sea.
It said it aims to have closed the extra 200 branches by the end of 2017.
The bank blamed uncertainty following the EU referendum as it announced its half year results, saying a decline in growth for the UK economy “seems likely”.
While the majority of job losses will be central bank and office functions, it acknowledged there would be “front-line reductions” in staff after shrinking its number of branches.
It has sites in close proximity in Gravesend's New Road and Perry Street in Northfleet as well as Watling Street and High Street in Canterbury.
It also has nearby sites in Tunbridge Wells and London Road, Southborough, plus the High Streets in Rochester, Chatham, Strood and Gillingham.
The bank revealed underlying profits had fallen 5% to £4.2 billion, while its total income was 1% lower at £8.9 billion.
