A logistics firm is continuing to expand after confirming its latest acquisition.

Dartford-based the Europa Worldwide Group has acquired some of the trade and assets of Menzies Response.

The Menzies Response contact centre is based at Orbital Park in Ashford and supports all forms of customer care across telephone, email, social media and website contact forms.

Europa has bought it from Menzies Distribution. It was previously known as Orbital Response, until the business was acquired by its parent company, Menzies Distribution in 2012 and re-branded in 2018.

The business will continue with Europa taking over the existing customer base and its 45 staff.

It comes just a week after Europa revealed it was hiring 40 new customs staff to prepare for Brexit.

Europa’s managing director, Andrew Baxter, said: “The Menzies’ assets are a perfect fit with Europa Warehouse and our aim is to strengthen, develop and grow the business.

“Our prior experience makes us well placed to deal with the subtle process of integrating new businesses into our group and I look forward to welcoming Menzies Response’ staff to our team.”

Europa Warehouse director, Maria Torrent-March, added: “We are confident that now is the right time to expand and we know we have the right skills and ability to grow the Menzies Response business.”
