A development of luxury apartments which has already attracted the attention of the rich and famous, has won a prestigious award.
The Sandgate Pavilions scheme in Sandgate, near Folkestone, scooped gold in the Best Luxury Development category of the WhatHouse? Awards.
It is a collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments spread over three buildings.
It was the flagship build of Sunningdale House Developments, based in Sandwich.
The firm also won a silver in the Best Luxury House category for Seascape, a detached seafront property in Littlestone.
David Pownceby, CEO of Sunningdale House, said: “To win a WhatHouse? Award in such a competitive category is something pretty special, especially for a young company.
"The challenges we have faced in this industry have been unprecedented, but like many other businesses, we have pushed through and in April we completed Sandgate Pavilions, a development that we are extremely proud of."
Sandgate Pavilions has already attracted interest from celebrity buyers, including stars of stage and screen, chefs and artists.
Apartments range in price from £675,000 to £1.75m. The brief was that every apartment had to have "perfect views and bask in the natural acoustics of the sea".
Hosted by comedian Romesh Ranganathan, the 40th WhatHouse? Awards were held online for the first time.
The judges said: “When you put together Sandgate cliffs and a striking landmark development, you have gold. Sandgate Pavilions epitomises the hedonistic dream of luxury seaside living. Sunningdale House must be congratulated, not only on building a development of outstanding quality, but also finishing it in such testing times.”
Its win comes hot on the heels of securing two top titles in the UK Property Awards last month.
