New electric car charging hubs have been installed at key service stations on the M20 and M25.
As part of a nationwide expansion of its network, Gridserve and Roadchef have put more of their ‘Electric Super Hubs’ at the Maidstone services of the M20 and Clacket Lane services on the M25.
Consisting of three charges at each site, it will allow six vehicles to charge simultaneously. The expansion is funded by National Highways.
Toddington Harper, CEO of Gridserve, said: “Both locations provide vital high-power charging on some of the UK’s busiest motorways. The more reliable high-power charging we can install, the more we believe drivers will feel confident to make the change to electric.”
Motorists will be able to use contactless payment and track the availability of the chargers via EV charging maps.
All are powered by 100% net-zero carbon energy.
