Bluewater has handed a three-year contract to look after its facilities to a London-based firm.
Incentive FM will employ a team of 250 people to manage the shopping centre’s cleaning, security, grounds and engineering.
The company has been employed as a consultant before but has won the full facilities management contract after a period of growth, mainly by buying other businesses.
Bluewater general manager Robert Goodman said: “The team’s focus on how they can ensure guests enjoy their visit to Bluewater, having an experience they will share with others, makes them the ideal partner for Bluewater.”
Incentive FM Group managing director Martin Reed said: “This contract win represents one of the proudest moments in Incentive FM Group’s 14 year history.”
The move comes during a busy time for new contracts at the shopping centre.
Last month it revealed Time Retail Partners had been hired as its joint retail agent, aiming to bring more international brands to the centre, particularly in dining and leisure.
