A printer and IT support company has opened a new head office in the county town after doubling its size in three consecutive years.
Blackbox Solutions invited the Mayor of Maidstone to open its new base in the Old Printworks on Medway Street in front of local businesses and clients.
The company, which is on track for a turnover of £4 million next year, moved its headquarters to the town from Medway City Estate in Strood, where it had established itself since launching in 2012.
Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Daniel Moriarty, said: “I’m pleased to welcome Blackbox Solutions to Maidstone.
“This new head office will serve as the central hub for Blackbox Solutions’ operations and I’m confident that they are well placed to continue their incredible growth story in this thriving town.”
The firm sells and maintains printers, scanners and copiers for office businesses under a dealer partnership with Samsung Technologies.
It has more than 170 clients, of which 85% have come from referrals by customers.
Managing director Colin Griffin said: “We are thrilled to have moved into these fantastic new headquarters right in the heart of Maidstone.
“This move gives us access to a growing local economy, a skilled workforce and a strong strategic location, all of which will serve as a foundation for the continued expansion of our business.
“We have already started to recruit additional staff from Maidstone and the surrounding area.”
