A dental practice has been taken over by new ownership.
Dover Priory Dental Practice, formerly known as Priory Road Dental Practice, is being managed by Dr Dorothy Riley after she began working there at the start of the month.
She takes over from Dr Hoe Toh, who has retired after 25 years owning the site, which was establised in the same location in 1928.
All existing nursing and reception staff will remain in place and will be joined by practice hygienist Christin Norris and additional nurses.
Dr Riley has moved to Dover with her family and plans to invest in new equipment at the practice.
She has worked in general dental since 2009, having obtained her postgraduate diploma with distinction in dental clinical sciences from Queen Mary University of London.
She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England anbd spent two years as a maxillofacial and oral surgery senior house officer in north Bristol and east Kent.
She recently completed a naster’s degree at Kings College London.
She said: “I am extremely happy to have this opportunity to open my own dental practice in Dover.
“The practice on Priory Road has an incredible history and I look forward to taking it forward into another stage of that history, providing Dover patients with the best possible care using the latest technology, equipment and dental techniques.”
She added: “I believe that with the regeneration of Dover, this is an exciting time to be investing in the area and along with my family, we look forward to becoming part of the community here.”
