Do you know an amazing young person who goes that extra mile, someone who has overcome personal difficulties or who has shown courage or resilience?
Nominations for the prestigious Medway Youth Awards, which celebrate the achievements and contributions of young people in their local communities, are now open.
Residents can nominate young people aged between 11 and 18, or up to 25 for young people with additional needs.

This year McDonalds, Nucleus Arts and the VRU (Kent and Medway Violence Reduction Unit) are sponsoring awards. The Medway Youth Awards welcomes further sponsorship, please email youth.enquiries@medway.gov.uk for information .

The awards celebrate achievements of all levels and people can share their nominations and at the same time help raise awareness of the fantastic things young people are doing in Medway to support others and their community.
Nominations are now open for ages 11-18, and up to 25 with additional needs. Nominees should live, work or study in Medway. Nominations are welcome from family, friends, teachers, neighbours and the entire community.
The Medway Youth Awards also welcome nominations in the Youth Support Worker of the Year category for youth workers, teachers, volunteers, social workers, foster carers, police officers and other adults who go the extra mile to support young people.
The awards are supported by Medway Youth service, Child Friendly Medway and Medway Youth Council. They are sponsored by McDonalds, Nucleus Arts and the VRU.
There is a 500 word limit for nominations. Please give as much detail as possible to explain why the nominee should receive an award.
