Organisers of a major food and drink awards in the county are making another call for entries at the halfway stage of the nomination process.
Already some 350 businesses, producers and products have had their names put forward for the Taste of Kent Awards 2020.
Now organisers and local produce champions, Produced in Kent, are urging the public to nominate their food and drink heroes before voting closes at midnight on January 2.
There are also several awards which businesses can self-enter, including the new Excellence in Customer Service title.
Jill Sargent at Produced in Kent said: “We want people to vote now, as the sooner a producer, business or product is added to the public list, the more votes they will get and every vote really does count as the competition is once again very close this year.
"It is great that the people of Kent are getting behind their local food and drink businesses. The food and drink sector makes a huge contribution to the Kent economy and many of these businesses are at the heart of their local communities.
"Whether you produce one product or hundreds of products, you can enter the individual product classes."
There are also awards that recognise the wider role that many farmers and food producers play in managing the Kent countryside.
