Office move helps charity

OFFICE equipment has been donated to a church and a charity by the Lütken-Simmonds Consultancy. The town planners recently relocated from premises in Bouverie Road West to new offices at Stoneleigh House, Tram Road, Folkestone.

The move left them with some redundant office equipment including fax machines, office furniture and telephone equipment. This was then offered to the Business 4 People initiative administered by Mid and South East Kent Council for Voluntary Service.

Headway East Kent, a charity that supports and encourages the rehabilitation of people with head injuries, and their families, was provided with some much needed replacement equipment after a break-in last year. St. Saviours Church in Canterbury Road was also supported. The equipment will be used to set up office at the church site to provide a community meeting point.

Mike Lütken-Simmonds said: "We are delighted that our surplus equipment will be put to good use and urge all companies to contact Business 4 People before disposing of any office furniture or equipment." Inquiries about the Business 4 People Scheme should be made to Gemma Barrier, Business 4 People co-ordinator on 07816 374067 or email gemma.barrier@virgin.net.
