A law firm has expanded into the West Country after buying another legal business.

Outset Group, based in Maidstone, has acquired Nicholas Moore Specialist Employment Lawyers for an undisclosed sum.

The deal adds another three employees to the company’s 49 staff.

It is the firm’s second acquisition, having bought UK Health, Safety & Environmental Training in 2014.

Chief executive Jonathan Gauton said: “Acquiring Nicholas Moore fits well with our vision to harness expertise and smart technology to provide the practical legal and business services required by modern business.

“Our innovative approach and strong emphasis on a relationship led approach is resulting in record growth.”

Nicholas Moore, who founded the business in 2005, said: “We’ve known Jonathan and his leadership team for a while, and we are excited to be joining Outset.

“Our firms share very similar values and approaches, and I’m sure our clients will benefit further from our shared expertise and innovation.”
