A leading tourist attraction’s swanky bed and breakfast offering has won yet another award to add to its sagging mantlepiece.

Hever Castle, near Edenbridge, was awarded gold in the prestigious Beautiful South Awards for 2024/25.

Organised by Tourism South East, the awards celebrate outstanding achievements in the tourism industry across the region.

Hever Castle’s five-star offering - which in September was presented with a VisitEngland Recogntion of Service Excellence (ROSE) Award - beat off competition from Chichester and Hastings to win the gong.

Kate Rowbottom, sales manager at Hever Castle - which allows visitors to stay in buildings on the estate: “This honour is a testament to the dedication, passion, and professionalism of our entire team. We couldn’t be prouder to see our hard work recognised in this way.”
