Plumbing firm springs a leak

TWO directors of a plumbing firm that failed with total debts estimated at around £100,000 will be unable to hold directorships or participate in company management for seven and a half and three and a half years respectively.

Lee West of Straightsmouth, Greenwich, and Roy West of Sand End, Thanet Way, Whistable, were given the Undertakings in respect of their conduct as directors of Maritime Services (London) Ltd which carried out business from premises at Theatre Place, New Cross Road, New Cross Gate, London.

The acceptance of the Undertakings at an Insolvency Service hearing in May prevents the pair from being directors of a company or, in any way, whether directly or indirectly, being concerned or taking part in the promotion, formation or management of a company for the specified periods.

The company was placed into voluntary liquidation on December 14, 2000 with estimated debts of £102,960.
