A village convenience store and post office has gone on the market.
The Costcutter store in Upchurch, close to Rainham and Sittingbourne, is on the market after its current owner decided to sell up to focus on other business interests.
Marketed by business property advisor Christie & Co, the single-storey lock-up business is on the market for a freehold asking price of £295,000.
The building includes a stockroom, kitchen and office. In addition, it provides National Lottery, PayPoint and post office services.
Current owner, Hitesh Patel said: “Now is the right time for me to sell the store so I can focus on my other business. The store has been invested in and is a great opportunity for a new owner.”
Jack Dudley, senior business agent at Christie & Co’s Maidstone office who is handling the sale, added: “This freehold lock up store provides a great opportunity for someone wishing to purchase a village store which enjoys good levels of turnover with the added benefit of a post office income. Situated in the heart of the village in a super trading position, this is a valuable village asset.”
