PROPERTY developer Rouse Kent Ltd has appointed a new director.

Paul Rubincam will assist managing director Andrew Blevins in new deal development, acquisitions and portfolio marketing.

Mr Rubincam joins the Kings Hill-based firm from its US parent company, Liberty Property Trust (LPT), where he was senior director of leasing and development, responsible for development, acquisition and leasing initiatives related to LPT's north-east portfolio consisting of 16m sq ft of office and industrial properties.

He said: "Kings Hill is a fantastic example of a sustainable mixed use community and we are very proud of it in America.

"This is a very exciting period both for Kings Hill and the property industry in general and I am very much looking forward to the challenge of finding new sites for similar developments in the UK."

Before joining LPT, Mr Rubincam was a partner with the Matrix Development Group, one of the market leaders in office and warehouse development along New Jersey's turnpike corridor, an internationally renowned distribution hub in excess of 150m sq ft.

Mr Blevins said: "We are very pleased to have someone of Paul’s calibre joining us. He has a wealth of experience and will be a great asset developing both the company and our portfolio."
