Moving a loved one into a care home is a big step and the impact of coronavirus has understandably made families even more anxious.
But trusted and established care homes like Chaucer House have implemented the right kind of measures and procedures to ensure their residents and staff members stay as safe as possible during these extraordinary times.
In fact, Chaucer House in Canterbury have gone that extra mile to arrange additional attention and comforts for all new residents at no extra cost. New arrivals at Chaucer House can also stay the first night FOR FREE.
“Finding the right care home for a loved one can be a daunting task and we completely understand people’s concerns during these difficult times,” said Gina Small who is Head of Care Homes at Avante Care and Support - a charity supporting over a thousand elderly people through their home care services as well as registered nursing and dementia care homes such as Chaucer House.
“Alongside the necessary measures to protect residents and staff, there is now a temporary requirement for all care homes to care for new admissions in isolation.
“Yet even with this new requirement, we ensure that Covid-19 doesn’t alienate any of our new residents and they are instead made to feel that they are part of a community where everyone has a vibrant and fulfilling life.”
