Rail link boost for port

THE Port of London is making "excellent progress" despite the closure of the Shell Haven oil refinery, says the PLA. It topped 50 million tonnes in 2001 - up six per cent on the previous year - with aggregates and cement business well up thanks to the Channel Tunnel Rail Link construction work.
