A recruitment firm in the county, which has hundreds of people of its books, has been taken over and is set for a rebrand.
Gillingham-based MC Personnel, established in 1998 and which also has offices in Ashford and Gravesend, has been acquired by the Kingdom Services Group.
The group already employs more than 11,000 people and has a turnover of some £250 million.
As a consequence of the takeover, MC Personnel, which places more then 400 recruits into positions across Kent, will be renamed Kingdom People to align with existing brands under its new owner’s portfolio.
Director of MC Personnel, Danielle Cassidy, who will continue to lead the Kent operation, said: “Having built great relationships with many leading organisations the business now moves into its next and exciting phase of development as the first South East recruitment arm for Kingdom People.
“With the skills, support and resources now available as part of much bigger group we look forward to further enhancing our service offerings to current clients and new, and continuing building our presence in the South East.”
Mike Rogers, chief operating officer of Kingdom People, added: “The acquisition of MC Personnel is an important step in the growth of Kingdom People as it becomes our sixth branch location and increases our footprint in core and new vertical markets including hospitality/catering and transport.
“The MC Personnel acquisition continues to shape the future of Kingdom People as we approach £100m in revenue and also strengthens our Kent, Sussex and South East London proposition.”
