Reeves, the Kent-based accounting and financial services firm, has received recognition of its work at a conference in China.
Accounting network Kreston International honoured the Kent-based firm at its annual awards dinner in Beijing.
Reeves’ partners also received recognition. Clive Stevens, managing partner, was hailed for his contribution over the last seven years as chairman of Kreston International. He stepped down this year but remains a director.
David Ashman, Reeves’ partnership chairman, received special recognition for his voluntary service to the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) Forces Help.
The Kreston Vat group, led by Reeves’ Greg Mayne, director of indirect tax, won the Special Interest Group of the Year award for achieving “the most to date since inception and demonstrating excellence in the delivery of Vat and duty solutions across national borders.”
It was also noted that Reeves had generated more pieces of international work into the network than any other firm.
This is not the first time that Reeves has been recognised for international work.
In 2011, the firm was named International Referrer of the Year and in 2010 won the Largest International Work Recruitment accolade.
Mr Stevens said he was delighted with the awards.
“The links that have been forged between independent firms around the world add a powerful extra dimension for our clients by providing global coverage and removing the need to negotiate cultural divides. We are very proud to be a part of Kreston”.
Mr Mayne added that the award reflected “the hard work and commitment of key individuals in forging really strong links between member firms and countries to provide high quality responses and services to clients and colleagues. I look forward to building on this recognition and continuing to extend the group in terms of numbers and level of work referrals.”
Kreston International is a worldwide network of experienced, independent accounting firms, each with its own established client base.
There are member firms in more than 90 countries and the network has more than 700 offices and 20,000 staff worldwide.
