Alandale Residential Home in Whitfield has moved to supply its residents with greener, cleaner and more affordable energy by installing 69 solar panels on its new roof.

“Along with the new solar panels, we have also installed a new WiFi thermostat central heating system that will enable us to tailor specific, individual temperatures within the home that suit each of our ladies and gentlemen” said Registered Provider and Managing Partner Paul Maple.

“Older people are more likely to feel the cold, so keeping Alandale at just the right temperature makes a big difference in creating a warm, welcoming environment.”

Summer bookings for respite

Alandale has limited availability, up until the end of September, for those wishing to book a holiday or just looking for a break, that may want the peace of mind of knowing that while away, their elderly loved one is safe and being well cared for.

Still unsure? There’s currently a three-day, two-night free trial, which may be tagged onto a short stay of at least two weeks.
