A shopping centre in Kent is opening five new restaurants this weekend, creating around 500 jobs in the area.
Intu shopping complex in Bromley has built a restaurant terrace situated at the lower mall which will offer casual, family-friendly dining.
Restaurants include Ed’s Diner, Byron, Giraffe, Project Pie and Wagamama.
General manager of intu Bromley, Kate Miller, said: “We’re very excited for the opening of the restaurant terrace which will add hundreds of jobs, a great boost to the town’s economy and growth.
“The development will add variety to the already vibrant food scene in Bromley and locals will be able to enjoy world-cuisine right on their doorstep without having to travel to London.”
The shopping centre is also holding its summer event on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3 with entertainment, live music and performances.
From Monday, 4 July, dining hours will be extended until 11pm and car parking will be available until midnight.
Shoppers can also look forward to a new cinema in the summer which will be located on the roof of the complex.
