A newly refurbished Co-op attracted hundreds of visitors when it re-opened.
The Co-op store in High Street, Sheerness, had been closed for almost three weeks to have a complete refit.
It officially re-opened on Thursday and pupils from St Edwards and Rose Street schools were there to cut the ribbon.
The children were presented with goody-bags containing Co-op Fair Trade goods.
Co-ops all around the country have been re-fitted, with Minster re-opening the week before last and Queenborough opening this week.
Christine Adams, Co-op manager, said: “The opening went really well – our sales nearly doubled for fresh produce on the day.
“The store is just transformed – customers were saying how much bigger it looks.
“We have had positive feedback from all the customers.”
