A DARTFORD manager has been awarded the British Safety Council's diploma in safety management. Robert Webb, quality, health and safety manager of Electrosonic Ltd, said: "It would be good if others took the message."

The company employs 120 staff at Dartford, and is hoping that the lessons he has learned could help the company to reduce insurance premiums. Accidents and illness at work cost up to £18 billion a year.
