Selling the county overseas

MORE French visitors could be seen in Kent as the county is promoted as a holiday destination for Europeans.

Kent Tourism was at Tourissima, the largest holiday and travel exhibition in Lille, Nord-pas de Calais, at the end of February.

The partnership between KCC's Economic Development Unit and Eurotunnel promoted the places to stay and see.

Head of tourism at Kent Tourism, Frances Warrington said: "The very Englishness of Kent with its pretty villages, oast houses, coastline and a legacy of historic castles, stately homes and gardens continues to attract overseas visitors."
