An accountancy firm has announced a new senior role will be filled this week.
Creaseys, based in Tunbridge Wells, have made Simon Linley the head of private client practice – he will take up the position on Monday, June 8.
Mr Linley will join from a London firm, Kreston Reeves, where he held a similar position.
Simon will bring with him over 25 years worth of experience in the field.
The appointment was only necessary due to an increase in demand for personal tax services, the group’s chief executive Emma Roberts said.
“Our client base from London is extending rapidly and almost half of our personal clients live or work there. We have won significant new private business from Kent and Sussex as well, so we needed an additional partner with the kind of expertise that Simon brings,” she said.
“He will head up a 20-strong specialist team and have a major part to play in our taxation advice and compliance for high wealth clients.”
The new head of private client practice, Simon, said: “I am really pleased to be joining the award winning tax practice at Creaseys and contributing to its growth and development.”
Creaseys has won the Lexis Nexis award as the UK’s best single office tax practice twice and co-authored Tolley’s Property Tax Planning.
