A SEVEN-YEAR disqualification from holding directorships or to taking part in company management has been agreed by former
director Colin Barber.
Barber, of West Way, Pembury, was a director of Morse Management Services, a freight logistics management and consultancy service that failed with total debts of some £261,000.
The company traded from business premises at Hawley Manor, Hawley Road, Dartford. It was placed into voluntary liquidation on February 7, 2000.
Mr Barber admitted: acting as a director while an undischarged bankrupt; causing Morse Management to trade to the detriment of the Inland Revenue and causing it to continue to trade to the detriment of the Inland Revenue and other creditors while insolvent from August 1, 200 to December 21, 2000, including receiving £6,904 of personal benefits and authorising payment of £3,565 to Janet Barber.
* Mr Barber’s wife, Janet, a fellow director, has already agreed to a three-year ban.
