Levi Roots, the cooking sauce entrepreneur made famous on Dragon’s Den, will be the key speaker at Kent’s longest-running business show as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The man behind Reggae Reggae Foods will talk about his route to commercial success in his warm and engaging style at the Kent B2B at Ashford International Hotel.
His talk will cover his childhood and learning how to cook with his grandmother in rural Jamaica, through to his turbulent teenage years in 1980s Brixton to his music career and the invention of Reggae Reggae Sauce.
He will also cut a birthday cake marking the 30th birthday of the show, run by Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce.
The exhibition will also welcome Frazer Thompson, chief executive of Tenterden-based winemaker Chapel Down, who will discuss the need for a plan and the importance of people with passion.
His firm is planning to build its first brewery in Ashford and is one of the Government’s top 50 British food and drink producers. It was identified as a CoolBrand 2015/16.
The Kent B2B also includes workshops and a free networking breakfast with inspirational speaker Peter Anderton looking at the secrets of management success.
The show, which will attract more than 80 exhibitors and 1,000 visitors, takes place on Tuesday, April 26.
